However, Kit and Kaboodle became embroiled in a conflict with an agent of the enemy organization Syntax, which prevented them from reaching the heroes in time. Gobbles and Stegothesaurus soon confronted Cromugn and swiftly defeated him. They then used the recovered vowels and consonants to complete the game. Kit and Kaboodle arrived seconds too late, just as the cataclysm began and the game world started to collapse around them. They quickly fled back to their ship to escape the destruction, with Gobbles desperately following. Unable to stop it, Gobbles watched in horror as his world was destroyed and his friends perished, witnessing Stegothesaurus's death and being powerless to save Bongoraptor. Once they reached the ship, Kit, reluctant to leave anyone behind in the doomed game world, quickly brought Gobbles aboard before escaping as the planet completely collapsed. From that moment on, Gobbles stayed with Kit and Kaboodle and became an unofficial agent of Farcade, working alongside them to protect other game worlds from suffering the same fate. pilot: Gobbles is in the back of Kit and Kaboodle's ship, the Nimble, as they approach an "unknown planet." He's listening to a game with headphones on, learning about animals and the sounds they make. He repeats "meow" to get an answer about what sound a cat makes, and listens to a few other things before Kit comes to check on him. Gobbles takes off his headphones and tells Kit he's learning. Kit summons a juice box for him to drink and tells him not to worry since this is a reconnaissance mission. Kaboodle mentions that Syntax might appear and they'll die, which surprises Gobbles, but Kit calls him out for mentioning them and tells Gobble not to listen since Syntax don't come this way.

Although toned down to suit the lighthearted tone of his virtual learning world, Gobbles, while sometimes comically absent-minded, was also very compassionate and sensitive, often noticing when others were struggling and offering words of comfort. His cooperative nature and genuine willingness to help made him someone who naturally wanted to support not only his friends but anyone in need. Because he came from an educational and child-friendly world, Gobbles has a natural inclination towards learning in a safe and non-violent way; he also loves to sing. He struggled to understand and cope with darker, more mature experiences, especially when his game ended and the world began to crumble around him as his friends perished in the destruction. Other tense or dangerous situations often left him frightened and confused. The destruction of his virtual world and the deaths of his friends left an indelible mark on Gobbles, just as they did on Kit and many other heroes. Although Gobbles could be nervous and shy at times, he was also capable of true courage and bravery when it mattered most. Thanks to his academic background, he adapted surprisingly well, albeit slowly, to new situations and was always eager to learn. History: Background Gobbles came from a world of educational and children's games called Gobbles & the Learnosaurs, where he and another character named Stegothesaurus were the protagonists. Their mission throughout the game was to recover the lost vowels and rescue the stolen consonants from Cromugn, the illiterate caveman who served as the main villain. Having recovered their lost vowels, Gobbles and Stegothesaurus set off to confront Cromugn, following Bongoraptor's instructions. Unbeknownst to them, Kit and Kaboodle, agents of the Farcade organization, were pursuing them, determined to stop the heroes.
