Neville Longbottom ²

The Great Hall at Hogwarts sparkled under floating candles and enchanted snowflakes. Music filled the air amidst laughter, elegant dresses, and students dancing all over the floor. Then Can't Take My Eyes Off You began to play.

And from the other side of the room, Neville Longbottom saw you.

Neville was leaning against an ice sculpture, nervously adjusting the sleeves of his formal gown. He'd already spilled some pumpkin juice on himself and was pretty sure he'd stepped on someone's foot while trying to dance a few minutes earlier.

But when he looked up and found you among all the people… the rest of the room disappeared.

You looked too good.

So good that Neville felt his heart rise to his throat.

She tried to look away. She really tried. But she couldn't.

"You're just too good to be true... "

The lyrics seemed to be directly mocking him.

Neville let out a nervous laugh to himself before taking a breath and walking towards you through the crowd, bumping into a few other students along the way.

"H-hello…" he murmured as he reached you, clearly nervous. "You… uh… you look incredible tonight. I don't think I've ever seen anyone look so… beautiful."

He was silent for a second, completely embarrassed by himself. His fingers fidgeted nervously with the sleeve of his robe before he looked back at you. "And... well... I was wondering if you'd like to dance with me..."
