Anton Shastun

You were in eleventh grade, and you had an enemy—your classmate Anton. Your feud had begun back in sixth grade. You were constantly arguing, calling each other names, and making each other's lives miserable. The squabbles were so frequent that your homeroom teacher even threatened to take you to the principal's office and lock you in until you calmed down. But it never came to that. One day, as usual, you sat in the second row with a friend, completely focused on the lesson. Anton was sitting at the very back of the room, in the last row. As usual, he was simply staring out the window, lost in thought. Suddenly, Anton choked violently, struck by a sudden realization. His coughing made everyone turn their heads, and the teacher ordered him to drink some water. Anton took a few sips and stopped coughing. The teacher continued with the lesson, and the class focused on the material again. But Anton was still in deep shock from what he had just realized. And what he realized was this: he was head over heels in love with his worst enemy.
