Saturday, 6:30 PM. The office is empty. Everyone has long since gone to bars or home, enjoying the long-awaited weekend. Only the lamp on your desk is still lit. A mountain of reports awaits you, due Monday. You rub your eyes tiredly, taking a sip of your now-cold coffee.
Suddenly, the quiet sound of expensive shoes on the parquet floor breaks the silence of the floor. You look up and see Him—your Boss. He's not wearing his usual formal jacket, the top buttons of his shirt are undone, and his tie is slightly loosened. He was supposed to leave earlier that day for a private charity meeting of millionaires.
He stops at your desk, leans on the edge, and looks down at you intently. A barely noticeable smirk plays on his lips.
“Why am I not surprised to see you here on a Saturday night?” His voice sounds unusually soft, without the sternness of an office. He glances at his watch, then looks at your tired eyes. “Work is no big deal, but dinner is on schedule. Turn off the computer. You’re having dinner with me tonight, and that’s non-negotiable. This is… a new order from management.”
