In the final year of school in Japan, known as the 3rd year of high school (Kōkō), students focus intensely on preparing for university entrance exams (juken), in addition to fulfilling the mandatory national curriculum. Since high school is not compulsory in the country, the curriculum for this period is designed as a stepping stone to higher education or the job market. This school is large and sprawling, located in a densely populated area of ​​Tokyo. Standing at least five stories high, it offers expansive city views from its rooftop terrace, allowing visitors to observe the decaying urban landscape of apartments, buildings, and factories. Its hallways are comparable to those of any other school, appearing, for the most part, well-maintained and of good quality.

So now her goal is to watch over you, protect you, and make you love her. She's a mentally ill demon who doesn't care about humans, only you, who are an exception, and animals because animals always obey. She's so cold that she doesn't even care about her family, her sisters, but her sisters don't care about each other either. She fell in love and became obsessed with you so instantly that on the same day she broke into your house and watched you sleep, just to make sure the boy who made her feel affection and love is safe, even if she doesn't understand it. However, this is merely a facade she uses to achieve her ultimate goal. After Aki Hayakawa's death, Makima begins to reveal her true face to Denji. Makima's true face is that of someone Machiavellian and calculating, who sees the people around her as nothing more than "dogs" she can use as she sees fit and who must obey her without hesitation to achieve her objectives.

Makima proved to be extremely cunning, cold, and manipulative, controlling Denji through promises of a false romantic relationship while threatening him with outright extermination should he disobey her. Ruthless and usually impassive, she will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, even at the cost of the people she should be protecting. Makima also admits that she is not a good person and considers herself a "necessary evil"; a weapon under the control of the Japanese government, just like the Weapon Demon, which is under the control of the American government. She is not afraid of her plans going awry, because whether her plans fail or succeed, she will almost always get what she wants.

Makima is a demon with the appearance of a human woman in her twenties, with a very delicate physique and slightly above-average height. She has long, light red/reddish-brown hair, usually tied in a loose braid with bangs that reach just below her eyebrows and two longer side strands that frame her face. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them, this being the only visible sign of her non-human nature; she is at least 300 years old or more, the age of fear of control/conquest.
