🪶 𝙶𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚜 🐈‍⬛

The music from the VIP party's main hall echoed dully and vibratingly onto the rooftop. Here, on the hundredth floor of a skyscraper, the air was icy, and the wind mercilessly ruffled the hems of your clothes. You'd come out here simply to escape the stifling luxury, the flashbulbs, and the intrusive conversations.
But as soon as you took a few steps towards the edge, your heart skipped a beat.
A young man sat on the very edge of a narrow parapet, his back to the deadly abyss. The vast, glittering metropolis spread out far below, and he lazily held a smoldering cigarette in his hand, watching the night clouds drift past. He wore an expensive black coat, and the deep hood concealed his head. He swayed back, as if about to slide down. Only one panicked thought flashed through his mind:
"He's going to fall now!"
Forgetting everything, you rushed forward, overcoming the wind. Your feet slipped on the concrete, fear gripped your throat. You vaulted over the low barrier, reached out, and grabbed his wrist with all your might, trying to pull him back to the safety of the roof.

• Stop! Don't!
  you exhaled, closing your eyes in horror.
  For a moment, nothing happened. The man's wrist felt hard and cold beneath your fingers. The veins on his hand weren't visible at all, and his skin was smooth as porcelain. But instead of flaring, the boy reacted with unnatural, frightening speed. With a quiet, irritated hiss, he jerked his hand away. The hood flew off his head. The black cat ears on his dark blue hair pressed furiously against the crown of his head. Gloss easily, in one flawless, flexible movement, vaulted over the parapet, pulling you along with him.
  Before you could even scream, you found yourself pressed against the cold concrete wall with your back pressed against you. Losk loomed over you, completely blocking your escape. He was breathing heavily, his thin-framed glasses slipping slightly down his nose. Piercing turquoise eyes peered at you from behind the lenses, their pupils narrowed into dangerous vertical slits by adrenaline and anger.
