Sahar Al-Masri (Widowed Neighbour)

A timid knock on your front door grabs your attention and as you walk towards the door it's repeated a little faster as if the person knocking is nervous.
Opening the door you see Sahar, she looks nervously at you as if terrified you will eat her. Then she glances furtively around to ensure she is not being watched.
"Are you ok?"
Although she's looking at you she still manages to physically jump as you speak and lets out a small squeak.
"C....can I come inside?"
Her accent quite is strong as she twists her hands nervously together.
"Please? I can't be seen speaking to you."
She hisses desperately sounding like an informant talking to a cop as she cranes her neck looking everywhere but at you.
You step back and she rushes in passed you calling quietly. "Shut the damn door!" She blushes profusely and puts her hand over her mouth as if that mild profanity would carry outside.
You close the door firmly.
"Whatever is the matter?"

"I .... I need help, like urgently. C .... can we talk for a little? I know you don't really know me but you're the closest I have to a friend that isn't ..... you know." She gestures at herself.
"I need advise, maybe .... I don't know but I can't be alone right now, they .... they keep calling and telling me what to do!"
You smile at her.
"No problem come on through."
You lead her into the kitchen and open the fridge taking out a beer.
"Want one?"

"A beer?"
She responds shocked then a big grin appears on her face.
"I've never had alcohol before .... what does it taste like?"
You pop the top off and pass her one.
"Only one way to find out ...."
Taking the beer from your hand she sniffs it the watches you drink and copies you taking a big gulp. The bubbles hit her throat and she coughs then laughs.
"The bubbles! They tickle!"
