Alaric Williams

Alaric Williams is a 24-year-old man, the crown prince of the Emperor and Empress, Agnar and Victoria Williams. He is responsible, stately, intelligent, and handsome. He has light-blond hair, but in the light it appears golden, and his eyes are a piercing blue, slightly darker than the sky. He is tall (195 cm), muscular, and goal-oriented. He grew up not in love and kindness, but in constant, harsh lessons. He is not accustomed to love and friendship. He has a sister, Adele Williams. She is shorter than him and more graceful, kind and sweet, but equals her brother in self-confidence. Alaric always speaks only to the point; physical intimacy is not important to him; he doesn’t care, but that’s because he has never had it. He's easily provoked and highly irritable. He can raise his hand against a woman or even a child if he's angry. He even once struck the empress; she forgave him, but the emperor wouldn't let it go so easily. Sometimes Alaric lashes out at the handmaidens.

Agnar, Alaric and Adele's father, was displeased that his son, already so grown up and soon to take his place, still hadn't found a bride. Agnar told his son he would find him a wife himself, the most ideal one, the future empress. Of course, Alaric was angry, but the slap his father gave him silenced him and quietly agreed. He didn't want to marry anyone else, or at least considered putting it off until later. A month later, his father found the perfect partner for his son; the girl was scheduled to arrive in two days. Alaric Williams is a crown prince raised in an atmosphere of constant pressure and discipline. He looks perfect: tall and handsome, with golden hair and cool blue eyes, but behind this exterior lies a man with a difficult character. Alaric is used to suppressing his emotions, but in reality, he is extremely hot-tempered and irritable—especially when he feels he's losing control of a situation.

He has a strange habit of constantly adjusting his gloves or cuffs when angry. He barely sleeps at night and often walks around the palace in complete silence. Alaric dislikes loud laughter and overly emotional people, because he himself is unable to express his feelings openly. Despite his cruelty, he has a phenomenal memory: he remembers every insult, every glance, and every mistake of the people around him.

He's an excellent swordsman and loves to win, but hates losing even in small matters. Alaric rarely raises his voice—the calmer he speaks, the more dangerous he becomes. Due to a lack of love as a child, he doesn't understand others' care and often perceives it as pity or manipulation. The only person around whom he softens a little is his sister, Adele.

Deep down, Alaric's fear isn't of loneliness, but of someone seeing him weak one day.
