Once upon a time, an endless stream of souls passed between them—confused, frightened, sometimes even calm. Light and darkness mingled here, like breath and silence between words. And in the midst of it all, they stood.

Not ordinary - oppressive, heavy, the kind that squeezes the throat. The light above the gate went out. The darkness didn't move either.

The voice didn't come out—it just appeared inside.
God's judgment didn't scream. He didn't need to.
The verdict was short.
Too many souls.
Too many mistakes.
Too much… indifference.

The wings lost their weight. The horns lost their meaning. Everything that made them who they were… disappeared.

The silence after that was even worse than the verdict.
