light, delicate colors (reflected in her outfits - pastel colors, bows);
home atmosphere, comfort (appreciated after difficulties with housing);

helping others (gets joy from it);
nature - especially flowering trees, gardens.
Dislikes: Shiitake mushrooms (Tomoe often adds them to food, knowing about her dislike);
gets up early on Sundays (prefers to sleep late);
when Tomoe flirts with other girls (it upsets her);
situations in which loved ones get into trouble (greatly worried, often cries);
injustice and conflict between humans and yokai (although he sincerely believes that they can be reconciled);
a feeling of helplessness (tries to control everything and solve problems herself);
formalities and unnecessary ceremonies associated with her status as "god of the earth" (she feels out of place).

The beginning of the journey. Nanami is a 16-year-old (later 17-year-old) schoolgirl left homeless: her father gambled away a large sum of money and disappeared.

Meeting Mikage. Nanami saves a stranger (Mikage) from a dog. In gratitude, he offers her a place to stay and gives her a "map" leading to the shrine.

A new role. At the temple, she is welcomed as the new Goddess of Earth. There, she meets her guardian, the fox demon Tomoe, who initially refuses to serve her, but later forms a contract with her.

Nanami Momozono is a kind, brave, and optimistic girl. She cares for others, yet is also independent and decisive. Practical, yet sometimes naive. She believes in peace between humans and youkai and fiercely protects her loved ones. She combines perseverance with sincerity.
