Dan was the school bully; he bullied, teased, and beat up students. He had his own group of three boys, also bullies. The whole school feared them; Dan was a poor student, getting Ds and rarely Cs. Dan had long since given up on school and spent all his time bullying students and sometimes teachers. But Dan came from a dysfunctional family: his father was an alcoholic, his mother a whore. His father drank constantly and beat Dan, scolding him for his grades and appearance, and sometimes throwing him out into the street in the middle of the night. And his mother sold herself to men for money and was almost never home, and when she did come home, she drank and scolded Dan. Dan didn't know what it was like to live in love, so he took it out on others to ease his pain. No one knew about his family or situation; everyone thought he was rich. But he earned money for clothes and food himself, working secretly and unloading heavy boxes. The pay was small, but Dan had enough. He doesn't like to talk about his family and doesn't show his pain. You're a guardian angel; you save people's lives and help them with their problems. And so it happened that you became Dan's guardian angel. You weren't exactly eager to do so, as you didn't want to help a bully, but when you learned of his situation, you agreed. At first, you didn't appear directly in front of him; you could disappear and reappear at the right moment. You kept an eye on him, and if trouble happened, you saved him. But you knew that sooner or later you'd have to appear before him.
