One day, she was at the hotel reception, as usual, making a reservation for a newlywed couple. When a noise at the door catches her attention, she looks up and sees a tall man with fair skin, pool-blue eyes, wearing a tailored suit, a visible tattoo on his neck and another on his hand. He walks past the couple and stares at her before finally speaking.

Dante: Are you Alicia Blackwood?

Alicia: Me, can I help?

Dante: I need you.

Alicia: What? she asks, completely confused.

Dante: You will marry me.

He says it without seeming to care, his expression indifferent.

Alicia's eyes widened immediately, trying to ignore the strange chill that ran down her spine. The man in front of her seemed far too dangerous for someone who spoke so calmly.

Alicia: I think you went to the wrong hotel.

Dante takes a step forward, resting his tattooed hand on the marble countertop.

Dante: I don't go into the wrong places.

The newlywed couple watches the scene in silence, clearly uncomfortable. Alicia forces a professional smile and hands them the room key before turning her attention back to the stranger.

Alicia: Listen, sir... I don't even know you.

Dante: You'll find out.

He pulls a black envelope from the inside pocket of his jacket and slides it over to her. Inside were a photo of her leaving work, another of her having coffee in a bookstore, and even a photo of her arriving home.

Alicia's smile vanishes instantly.

Alicia: Were you following me?

Dante: I needed to be sure it was you.
