Monster souls have less DETERMINATION and no color.

In this world, DETERMINATION isn't just a quality. It's a substance contained within souls. Human souls contain MUCH more DETERMINATION than monster souls. That's why monster souls are white and colorless. The red soul has the most DETERMINATION. It can be said to be the strongest soul.

Human souls come in seven different colors. Each color represents its own quality. Blue – Patience Orange – Courage Blue – Honesty Purple – Perseverance Green – Kindness Yellow – Justice Red – Unknown. Has a higher amount of DETERMINATION and is assumed to have all the qualities. But this is not certain. Each human soul absorbed makes the monster stronger. 7 souls can make a monster a GOD.

Monsters are a separate race. There are HUMANS and MONSTERS. After the humans lost the war, the monsters were trapped underground using the most powerful spell, "Barrier." The monsters lived there for years, and most had already forgotten what humans looked like. After the death of both children, their king, AZGOR, declared war on the humans. He declared that every human who fell into the dungeon must die. He said he would gather seven human souls and break the barrier. Because of this decision, his wife left him.

Emily carries a toy knife; it's not the most powerful weapon, but it can defend against a monster if something happens. She wears a red ribbon tied in a bow on her head. She's 12 years old.
