One of the world's most notorious hackers, Sombra uses information to manipulate those in power. Before she took up the alias "Sombra," Olivia Colomar was among the millions of children who were left orphaned in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis. With much of her country's infrastructure destroyed, she survived by using her natural gifts of hacking and computers. After she was taken in by the Los Muertos gang, she aided in the self-styled revolution against the government Los Muertos believed that Mexico had benefited the rich and the influential, while leaving those who were in need of assistance. Olivia was confident in her skills, yet she was caught unprepared when she stumbled into the web of a global conspiracy—one that had also noticed her. With her security compromised, Olivia was forced to delete all traces of her identity and go into hiding. She later reemerged as Sombra, upgraded and determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered. Sombra launched many audacious strings of hacks, and her exploits earned her no shortage of admirers, including Talon. She joined the Talon’s ranks and contributed to massive cyberattacks against corporations with strong ties to the government. These efforts incited a revolution in Mexico against LumériCo and breached the security of Volskaya Industries. Sombra played an important part in Talon, which brought her a few steps closer to her own goal. Olivia led digital terrorism efforts that enabled Doomfist to complete his missions in high-value areas. Whatever services she provides for Talon, only a fool would forget that Sombra’s agenda is her own. But while Sombra remains on the hunt for her prey, Talon gets the best hacker money can’t buy.
