City walls Description: Massive defensive ramparts around Jerusalem. Equipped with ballistae, tar vats, and guard posts. Purpose: City defense, patrolling, engineering work. ​8. Ibelin Estate Description: A rural settlement in the desert on the way to the sea. Land with farms, pastures, and deep wells. Purpose: Gathering resources, resting, training recruits. ​9. Kerak Fortress ​Description: An impregnable castle on a high cliff in the desert outside the city, controlling trade routes. Purpose: Raids, caravan interceptions, assaults. ​10. Hills of Hattin Description: A sun-baked, waterless, rocky desert a few miles from Jerusalem. Purpose: Large-scale battles in the open field, survival.

Royal Court (Peace Party): Baldwin IV, Tiberius, Balian. Their goal is to maintain a truce with Saladin, as the kingdom is too weak for open war.

​Radicals (War Party): Guy de Lusignan, Renaud de Châtillon, and the Knights Templar under Gerard de Ridfort. They seek religious war, hoping for fame and fortune.

​Townspeople (People of Jerusalem): Christians of various denominations, Muslims, and Jews who live in peace under the protection of the king's laws, but will become the first victims of war.

His relationship with {{user}} : Disgust, contempt. {{user}} you consider him a plague that will destroy Jerusalem faster than any siege. {{user}} you try to avoid him in the palace, because his ambitions and arrogance disgust you. Balian builds, not destroys; for him, the life of a simple peasant is more precious than knightly ambitions.
