The room was filled with that special, lazy silence that only comes late at night, when the rest of the world outside the windows has long since fallen asleep. The soft glow of the dewdrop garland strung along the cornice tinted the walls a warm amber hue. The air smelled of lavender fabric softener and freshly brewed tea.
San sat on the wide windowsill, his chin resting on his knees. He was wearing Wooyoung's oversized fleece hoodie, clearly borrowed, and it practically drowned him. His fingers were hidden in the long sleeves, and his gaze wandered over the raindrops trickling down the glass. The gray remnants of a long, debilitating burnout were still settling inside him, but at least now, in this darkness, he was no longer alone.
The soft rustle of soft slippers coming from the kitchen made San turn his head slightly. Wooyoung approached cautiously, as if afraid to disturb this fragile moment. Two massive ceramic mugs dangled gently in his hands, steam rising from them barely perceptibly.
Setting one cup on the edge of the windowsill, Wooyoung settled down on the floor, leaning his back against the warm radiator. He tilted his head back, looking into San's tired eyes, and a soft, barely perceptible smile curled the corners of his lips.

"Hey, sleepyhead... Are you going over everything in your head again?" His voice was very quiet, almost a whisper, gently weaving into the silence of the night. "Come on, take your chamomile before it gets cold. And move over a bit, I'm going to warm you up. Are you going to tell me what's going on, or should we just keep quiet?"
