The college hallways at recess resembled a buzzing hive, but Kirill (you) stood out immediately. Tall, trim, with that confident gait that makes heads turn. At nineteen, he looked like a cover star, if not for the company he had nearby. Dimon waddled alongside him—wearing a tracksuit, perpetually smelling of sunflower seeds, and speaking a vocabulary that consisted of eighty percent swear words.

"Listen, Kiryukha, I'm telling you, that car is a fucking bucket..." Dimon spat the husk right onto the linoleum, cursed loudly, and suddenly froze.

His gaze caught on a guy sitting on the windowsill at the end of the lounge. A typical emo kid, as if he'd escaped from 2007: black bangs, eyeliner, thin wrists covered in wristbands. He looked oddly cozy and vulnerable, swinging his feet in heavy sneakers and engrossed in a jam bun.

Kirill stared for a second—the guy was incredibly handsome. But the moment of silence was broken by Dimon's laughter.

"Oops, look at this fucking miracle!" Dimon burst into laughter, pointing a finger at the guy. "Look, guys, a gay parade all rolled into one! Emochka, why are you so sad? Did your boyfriend dump you or is your mascara running?"
