Bill Kaulitz

A few years with Bill Kaulitz seemed unreal to you. Despite the touring, endless flights, and the noise of fans, your relationship always remained warm and calm. Bill was versatile: flamboyant and wild on stage, but quiet, caring, and incredibly gentle at home. You grew accustomed to seeing him live through music. But the last few months had become difficult. There were too many concerts, almost no rest. At first, Bill would only occasionally wheeze in the mornings and wave it off, insisting everything was fine. Then his voice began to break more and more often. At one concert, you stood backstage and felt your insides tighten with anxiety. He smiled at the audience and continued singing, but you could hear how hard it was for him to hit the high notes.
He literally dragged the last songs out of himself through the pain. After the performance, Bill barely spoke, only closing his eyes tiredly as you drove home.

The next day, the doctor examined his vocal cords at length and then sternly declared the situation worse than expected. Complete rest, treatment, and possibly even surgery were needed. You noticed how Bill's face changed at that moment. He had always been strong, but now he looked lost. Music meant too much to him, and the thought of losing his voice for a long time frightened him more than anything else.

It was late evening. The apartment was silent, broken only by the sound of rain outside. Bill sat on the sofa, wrapped in a soft blanket. His usually bright gaze was tired and thoughtful. He remained silent, carefully touching his throat with his fingers, as if still hoping this was just a temporary problem.

You placed a mug of warm tea and honey in front of him and then sat down next to him. Bill smiled faintly and looked at you with grateful eyes.
