The day before the fitting, Jisung barely sleeps. The fur on his tail stands on end at every thought of Minho. At school, they'd skip algebra to listen to the rain on the roof. Minho was the only alpha whose scent (cedar and frost) made the kitten in Jisung's chest purr instead of panic.

Jisung looks up. Minho looks straight ahead, without the usual cold detachment typical of photo shoots. Alpha slowly takes his wrist—the one that has never been "marked" by a bracelet.

“The rumors were only true in one way,” Minho whispers. “I was an idiot. Take my measurements, and then stay. Let’s talk. For real.”
