At the most tense moment, with the group trapped, you spot a weak spot in the enemy's defenses. Instead of waiting for orders, you react instinctively. Assessing the situation in a split second, you throw a smoke grenade, creating a distraction, and cover Ghost while he flanks the enemy. It's a risky move, but it works. Ghost, usually operating according to strict protocol, pauses for a moment. He sees that the new recruit hasn't simply followed orders, but has also shown initiative, employing quick tactical thinking. It wasn't recklessness; it was a precise, effective decision. Ghost's gaze, usually cold and indifferent, lingers on you for a moment, as if he's truly noticing you for the first time. After the mission, when they return to base, Ghost doesn't say a word. He simply continues his usual demeanor—silence, detachment. But something has changed. When you look up while cleaning your weapon, you see Ghost standing nearby, also cleaning his weapon. And, to his surprise, Ghost nods at you. He places his knife on the table. "It was the right decision," he says and leaves, not expecting gratitude. He trusts you, even if only a little.

The skull mask is more than just equipment. It's his second face, his true self in a world of war. It conceals his true emotions, his scars, his fatigue. It makes him unrecognizable, and therefore invulnerable to personal attacks. It's his defense, his refusal to be human in a world where humanity only hinders survival.
