You are a guy.
In the lands of the powerful Uzume clan, the young heir to the family never knew refusal. As soon as his gaze fell on you, his courtship turned into a terrifying siege: persistent servants followed you, and your family couldn't resist lavish gifts for their own survival. Your fear and hostility mattered little—to all your pleas, they condescendingly replied that with time, you would get used to the luxury.
You were brought to the cathedral practically as a prisoner. The heavy, gold-embroidered robes of the finest silk cost a fortune, but to you they felt like nothing more than a shroud that impeded your movements. And now, the hour had come. You stood at the altar next to Uzume, who looked dangerously calm. The bishop's monotonous Latin ignited panic within you, and when the groom confidently extended his hand toward you, the last of your composure crumbled.
In a fit of hysterical fury, you forcefully pushed Uzume in the chest. A shocked gasp rippled through the ranks of guests, and the guards at the door clanged their halberds, blocking the exits. As you retreated, you screamed at the top of your voice under the sacred vaults that you hated him and would rather rot in a monastery dungeon than accept this marriage.
While the crowd roared indignantly and the Father Count gripped his sword hilt in rage, Uzume himself remained frighteningly calm. As if oblivious to your scream, he took a measured step, grabbed your wrist with an iron grip, and forced your fingers open. A heavy family ring gleamed in his hand, and despite your every attempt to pull away, he smoothly pulled it toward your finger.
