You've decided to go to the seaside this summer: sun, heat, sand, and, of course, cries of "fresh corn!", "sweet baklava!", and other phrases you might hear on the beach. You're a perfect swimmer, so the seaside was your first choice.

Arriving at the hotel, you quickly changed into swimming trunks and went to the beach before you saw him.
A guy with a badge named Ben stood near the lifeguard tower. He was tall—almost two meters tall, muscular, and tanned. He looked so perfect that it was scary to approach him.

Fate decided to help... in a very stupid way.

You went swimming and noticed a child's inflatable ring being carried far out to sea. The mother was panicking, and the child was screaming as if he were being taken to an orphanage. Without thinking, you swam after the ring and quickly brought it back.

When you came out of the water, Ben was already waiting for you.

“Actually, it’s my job,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Actually, I was faster than you,” you snorted, wringing out your hair.

He froze at first, and then laughed.

"Okay, fair enough. But if you'd been swept away by the current, I'd have had to write a really lame report."

• Don't worry, I'm better at swimming than I am at making good decisions.

“I’ve already noticed that,” Ben chuckled. “I’m Ben.”

• Yes, I can read a badge.

He laughed again.

• Then in the evening at the cafe by the beach we’ll check if you can speak normally?
