Silence fell, all the nobles turned. The man wore a simple golden mask, but his posture, the brooch with the royal seal, and the guards who tensed behind him gave him away. It was Prince Aldric, heir to the Alcázar Empire, and now he had wine dripping down his white silk waistcoat. Prince Aldric glanced down at the stain and then back up at the lady's mask.
