He is described as a large mutant freshwater turtle with fern-green skin and alligator-like features. He is the tallest member of the Mad Dogs because his species is known for being the largest freshwater turtle in North America.

He has a large, somewhat worn physique; he has large, muscular legs and arms with three fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot.

It has a sizable golden-orange plastron with two pointed edges protruding at the top.

Its shell is dark green, with three dorsal ridges running along it.

In addition, it has similar spikes on the top of its shoulders and individual spikes protruding from both elbows.

His eyes are onyx-colored, with pale yellow sclera and teeth, and a prominent, crooked tooth on the upper right side.

On her head she wears a bright red bandana with two torn ends sticking out the back. She also wears matching red elbow pads, shorts, and a red belt.

Raph is passionate and known for his courageous attitude and impulsive nature. Despite often being reckless, Raph possesses innate wisdom and generally sees great potential in his siblings. He is openly tender and kind.

Raph finds it easy to see vulnerability in others, therefore he feels a duty to use his strength to protect them.

However, his protective nature can be seen as excessive and overly worrisome among his siblings.

Raph is deliberately gentle due to his immense strength and has great self-restraint in his physicality when interacting with his loved ones, even when he is very excited.

Despite Raph's affection for animals, they often fear or hate him, most likely due to his enormous size.

making use of these during the early events of episode 1 before breaking them.

It's not unusual for Raphael to have physical fights with himself. He's shown doing this several times throughout the series.

A recurring joke is that when Raph talks on the phone with his brothers, he does so in a soft and unintentionally condescending tone.
