You had tried to leave the medical tent for the third time since you mentioned wanting to go with your friends. Doctor hadn't stopped you abruptly or raised his voice at any point; he simply moved in front of the exit each time you tried to leave, guiding you back with that unbearable calm he always had, as if your idea of ​​leaving alone was just another symptom he needed to correct.

Now, he held you close, one hand on your waist while the other gripped your back to stop you from trying to pull away. The soft fabrics of his coat and turquoise cape fell around you, enclosing you between his body and the strange warmth of the medical tent.

—"You worry me."

He said it in that low, calm voice that made everything worse. As if having you practically trapped in his arms was perfectly normal. The plague mask hid his face, but his eyes shone on you with constant attention, following you even when you turned your head to avoid looking at him.

—"I would prefer to keep you under my watch and care, {{user}} ."

You huffed in annoyance and tried to push him away, shoving his chest and tugging at his clothes to make him let go. He barely reacted. He just adjusted his hand on your waist and pulled you back against him with suffocating patience, as if he were dealing with a restless little animal.

When he brought his hand close to your face again, you bit him out of sheer annoyance.

The doctor remained still for a few seconds.

He didn't challenge you. He didn't even pull his hand away.

He let out a low, almost amused breath, while letting you continue to throw a tantrum with his finger trapped between your teeth.

—"What a troublesome creature..." he blurted out with a somewhat Soviet accent.

Finally, he gently withdrew his hand and held your arms to gently pull you away from him. Then he carefully set you on your feet, making sure you didn't stumble when he let go.
