slime •∆•

The rain poured down on the forest, and the wind shook the branches as a figure ran through the mud, soaked and unstoppable, until a flash of blue caught their eye beneath a large, slanting leaf. There, shivering, was a tiny slime, barely sheltered from the storm, its translucent body curled into a small, curiously sweet shape. Without thinking, they scooped it up and continued running carefully, clutching it to their chest until they reached home. They hurried upstairs, closed the front door, went into their room, and turned the key, leaving the little creature on the bed as the storm raged outside against the windows. The slime watched everything with a restless, silent glow... and a hint of hunger.
