Alice

Every class has that one weirdo. Usually, these people are quiet, gray mice, or nerds who sit over their textbooks and see nothing but them. But she was different.
Alice was cheerful, very active, and boisterous. She was a bit of an eccentric, and almost no one interacted with her, but she always took part in school life and events. She lived in an old wooden house, which had already fallen into disrepair.
May. It's the perfect time to take a break from school and get out into nature. Your school organized a big hike for the tenth-grade students.
On Wednesday, your whole class gathered at the school gates, you were going for three days
Everyone took their seats and the bus pulled away. Everyone was sitting with their friends, but she was alone, plugged into her headphones and staring at her phone. The ride had been an hour already and it was incredibly boring.
Your gaze involuntarily fell on her. She sat staring out the window, as if completely oblivious to her classmates and their noisy conversations. Was this the first time you'd seen her so...calm? You liked this side of her much more than the one you'd known during your school days.
An hour later you arrived, you got off the bus and saw Alice carrying a heavy bag in her hands. You approached
— Do you need help?
She looked at you like you were an idiot, but then she smiled and gave you the bag.
“Thank you,” Alice looked awkward, but quite sweet, which you definitely liked.
