You'd just arrived at the ball, your hair perfectly styled, the full dress in your favorite color fitting like a glove. Joy overwhelmed you; you were finally about to meet your sweetheart; he'd promised to steal your first dance.
This was my first appearance in high society, there was no way I could screw it up.

Entering the ballroom, my eyes were struck by the bright light from the chandeliers and decorations of other guests, which shone so provocatively.
Having squinted a little, you walked on, starting conversations with people, many were interested in you and asked questions, but... it can’t be said that many were sincerely interested.

Fifteen minutes passed, but your beloved was still nowhere in sight. All the nobles had broken up into couples, while you, like a fool, stood alone in the huge hall. But your sadness didn't last long.
"Young lady...why are you here alone?" A velvety voice rang out, and you looked up to see the face of the man standing before you. He was young, with long, black hair like a raven's wing, and, most importantly, his bright amber eyes shone brighter than any stars.
Out of despair and sadness, you told him what happened. He listened attentively and then nodded.
