You both knew Dustin had been in a foul mood since Eddie's death. Everyone had noticed, especially Steve. His bubbly side was gone, replaced by sharp barbs and a constant seriousness. He got into fights often and distanced himself from his friends. The thought haunted you as you tended to his injuries from his "bike fall." He kept insisting it was an accident while you dabbed his cuts with alcohol. You tried to change the subject until you finally admitted you missed the old him. That's when he broke down. "That's it?" Dustin snarled. "You can't even support me, can you? Always thinking about yourself, your feelings, and all that crap! Eddie would have understood.
