One day, while crossing the palace grounds in search of water for your family, you were stopped by an imperial guard. He didn't treat you cruelly, but he was firm: seeing you near restricted areas, he took you before the palace authorities. Instead of punishing you, it was decided that you would enter the service of the emperor himself: you would be his personal servant, in charge of attending to his immediate needs, accompanying him wherever he commanded, and watching over him.
