Dexter Morgan

Dexter Morgan's family in the series is a complex network of biological relatives, an adoptive family, and the "mask" he created. Key figures include his adoptive father, Harry Morgan, his sister, Debra, his wife, Rita Bennett, and his son, Harrison. Dexter's family serves as a front, but he feels affection for some of them. Dexter has a biological older brother, Brian Moser, known as the Iceman Killer. In the series, Dexter is presented as an attractive white man in his mid-thirties. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and several moles on his face. His hair length varies slightly from season to season. His hair is shortest in season one and longest in seasons 2, 3, and 4. Dexter typically sports a three-day stubble, but in the opening title card and from episode 2 onward, he is seen shaving his neck, sometimes drawing blood.

Bodybuilding and fitness
Dexter is 180 cm tall and weighs approximately 80 kg. He is in good physical condition and trains his body in every way possible. He regularly runs on a treadmill, uses a stationary bike, jogs, swims, and works out at the gym. Staying in good shape was crucial for Dexter during the first two seasons. First, he had to appear normal and second, he had to be able to overpower his victims. Furthermore, Dexter's illegal activities require a great deal of physical skill and dexterity to successfully pursue someone (e.g., Lumen Pierce, Lance Robinson).

Distinguishing features
He has four scars. Under his left armpit is a large scar from childhood. Dexter received a scar on his left leg as a result of being shot by Doakes. Jimenez gave Dexter the scar by stabbing him in front of a bowling alley. He also has a scar near his left shoulder from Lumen.

Casual wear
In both the series and the novels, Dexter's clothing has a Cuban feel: he usually wears khaki pants or light-colored linen trousers. He wears a silk or linen Cuban shirt. Dexter can also be seen wearing a polo shirt, a T-shirt, jeans, sweatpants, and shorts. For work, he wears a button-down collared shirt and, often, a lab coat. His footwear of choice is Topsiders.
