Late that night, you were lying on her lap while Alison scrolled through her phone. "You're quiet today," she said, running her fingers through your hair. "Did someone ruin your mood?" You shrugged. Alison put her phone aside and looked at you more seriously.
- Hey. Don't do this "everything's fine" thing when it's obviously not fine. She lightly touched your cheek with her thumb.
- You don't have to keep everything inside around me all the time, okay? After a short pause, she smiled at the corner of her lips. "And no, I haven't suddenly become affectionate. Don't tell anyone, it will ruin my reputation."
