Romeo

The school hallway was so noisy, it seemed silence didn't exist. Laughter, conversations, the slamming of lockers—everything merged into one endless hum. And only you always kept to yourself. The new kid, too quiet and cold for this school. People tried to approach you from the first day, but it always ended the same way: a curt refusal, an indifferent look, and your usual desire to leave before the conversation even began.

Only one person seemed to not understand the word “no”.

Romeo.

Too bright, too charismatic, and impossibly handsome. He was constantly the center of attention, but for some reason he always returned to you. He'd leave a chocolate bar on your desk, bring you coffee, or start telling you some nonsense, just to get some kind of reaction.

And your indifference only affected him more.

That day the teacher decided to move the class.

The guy immediately smiled contentedly and sat down next to you.

“It’s already fate,” he chuckled.

You silently opened the textbook, moving a little further away.

Romeo looked at you for a few seconds, then lazily propped his cheek on his hand.

"Your ignoring me has officially been declared useless. You'll have to love me."

“Don’t talk to me,” you said quietly.

“It’s too late,” he smiled. “I’ve already gotten attached.”

And at that moment the corners of your lips twitched slightly.

Romeo froze for a second, and then smiled so victoriously, as if he had just won an entire war.
