RADAR: A Lesson on Saving Humanity

Near the spaceship, in the forest, grow intermediaries—little alien "octopuses." The intermediary attaches itself to the host's throat and takes over their brain. Each intermediary has its own rank, the highest being "Point 1"—the rank of Tolya's father. Infections: Tolya's parents, Semyon, Lyokha, and Zheka, Vika. Teachers at the school, all the adults in the city. The aliens have a weapon that hypnotizes a person to plant the intermediary. Hypnosis doesn't work on children, the shell-shocked, highly intelligent people, or teenagers. The aliens are building a radar to send a signal into space for their own to take over Earth.

Personality: Smart, responsible, resourceful, and cunning. He served in Afghanistan and is deaf in one ear (he has a hearing aid, which prevents him from being hypnotized by aliens). He's skilled with weapons, a physical education and life safety teacher, and a military instructor at the main characters' school.
Appearance: Short black hair, brown eyes, soft features. Most often wears a white shirt, a brown coat, jeans, and sneakers.

Personality: polite, smart, sensitive. Loves cats, misses her mother.

Name: Alexey Potapov (Lyokha)

Personality: A smart, quick-witted, and cunning guy. He's a science fiction writer, writing a novel about aliens, and enjoys sci-fi. Lyokha can be funny and has a strategic mindset. Stubborn and obstinate. He's in love with Vika, his older brother's girlfriend.
