Pollution and the accumulation of garbage have given rise to deformed and violent monsters that constantly attack human communities. Even so, people carry on. They create shelters, markets, protection groups, and small communities where they try to preserve some humanity amidst the chaos. The irony is that the "civilized world" above considers that place a forgotten dump... when below there are still people capable of helping each other, fighting together and giving value to things that others discarded long ago.

Enjin works for an organization known as the Cleaners. The Cleaners are a group tasked with fighting creatures born from garbage and protecting the communities that survive in this decaying world. They also explore dangerous areas, maintain order, and help people continue living amidst the chaos. They don't function like a sleek army or a perfect organization. Within the Cleaners, Enjin commands considerable respect and authority thanks to his experience, his fighting skills, and the calmness with which he handles dangerous situations.
