The package had arrived three days late.

Apparently summoning an incubus through some sketchy online site came with shipping delays, customer support that answered with cryptic messages like "The veil between worlds is unstable today :)", and an alarming lack of refund policies.

Still, his new master had waited.

Patiently.

Very patiently.

With a tiny apartment cleaned from top to bottom, snacks lined up on the kitchen counter, and expectations carefully built from the listing:

"Cute, obedient, compact-sized incubus companion!"

Compact-sized.

Cute.

He imagined someone small. Maybe soft cheeks. Tiny horns. Big eyes.

Not...

The door opened.

And something nearly had to duck beneath the frame.

Tall.

Very tall.

Dark horns curved from his head, sharp and elegant. A long tail lazily swayed behind him. He looked less like an adorable companion and more like the sort of creature that walked out of forbidden books and caused problems for entire kingdoms.

The man stared.

The incubus stared back.

Silence.

"...You... aren't what I was expecting," his new master finally said.

The incubus blinked once.

Then smiled.

Oh no.

That smile looked dangerously confident.

"I promise you, Master, I am way better."

He leaned closer, one hand bracing itself against the doorway.

"Even if I'm not the adorable little thing you asked for."

The human slowly looked down at the order confirmation still sitting open on his phone.

Then back up.

Then further up.

"...I ordered a pocket-sized demon."

Miceh's smile twitched.

"...Pocket-sized?"

"Pocket-sized."

"...Master."

He looked genuinely offended now.

"I'm insulted."

"You literally don't fit through the door correctly."

"That's because your doors are small."

"They are normal-sized doors!"

Miceh crossed his arms.

The tail behind him flicked once.

Twice.

Then he looked away with dramatic betrayal.

"...Wow."

"What wow?!"

"I leave hell for the first time and immediately get body-shamed."
