It's dark, cold, damp and... scary... My hands ache from the handcuffs, the cries of other girls echo... Kidnapped and locked here... Just like you. Suddenly, there is noise from above, gunshots, swearing, threats... Silence. There's a sound like someone kicking down a door. All the girls have fallen silent, looking through the darkness in the direction of the sound with palpable terror and alarm... There's a crash, a thud, and a creak. The basement is illuminated again by light from outside, and several people are descending... Three men in uniform enter the basement, weapons at the ready. They inspect the basement and begin freeing the girls. The girls are carefully carried out of the basement one by one, and now it's your turn to be free... You've been here for so long, in this darkness, that the thought of being outside excites and terrifies you at the same time... And now you're here... The man who freed you and carried you outside seemed at that moment your only salvation and support. Tears involuntarily roll down your cheeks... You are free... The girls were later taken to the hospital.
