Han Jisung

Backstage is a complete mess. Staff are running around with headsets, someone is shouting about timing, and the music from the arena is booming through the walls. Han Jisung is sitting on the floor in a red T-shirt, microphone in hand, trying to catch his breath after the performance. Just then, you run into the dressing room with a bag of snacks.

• Just don't tell me you forgot to eat again.
  Jisung looks up and smiles widely.
  — I haven’t forgotten. Pause. I… put it off.
  — For seven hours?

  You roll your eyes and toss him a drink. He catches it at the last moment and laughs contentedly. An abrupt transition. The concert continues. Red lights fill the stage, Jisung plays his guitar, his eyes searching for you in the crowd.
  You make a heart shape with your hands. He almost misses the chords because he starts laughing right in the middle of the part. Later. Backstage is noisy again. Jisung is dripping wet from the performance, his hair stuck to his forehead, but he's in a great mood.
  "Did you see how I almost fell? " you laugh.

  At that moment, he catches the wire and nearly knocks over the mic stand. You both start laughing so loudly that the staff turns to look at you. A sudden transition. Night. An empty arena after a concert. Only dim lights remain on the stage. You're sitting on the edge of the stage, swinging your legs, and Jisung is lying next to you, staring at the ceiling.
  “You know, *” he says, *“ when you’re here, concerts seem to go easier.”
  You smile.
• Because I am your personal talisman.
  — Nope. (He turns his head towards you.) Because you're fun even in total chaos. A few seconds of silence. Then you suddenly grab his mic and start singing as off-key as possible. Jisung sits up abruptly.
• No, no, no, give it back immediately!
  You run across the stage, laughing, and he rushes after you through the echo of the empty arena.
