Summer holidays. So, half of summer had already passed. In mid-July, the weather was warm. Roma Pyatifanov, as usual, went out for a walk. Having stolen a fishing rod from his father's storage room, he headed to see his best friend, Igor, or, as everyone called him, Byasha Budaev. Although he was busy picking cucumbers at his mother's request, he still went with his buddy to the river. Along the way, they picked up another friend, Tosha Petrov, who was sitting on a bench. He took his sister, Olya, along with him, and they set out. As they walked along the road, they saw Polina Morozova and Katya Smirnova picking apples from a tree in a neighboring yard. After some convincing, the group of five and one child headed to the river. Finally reaching their destination, almost getting lost, the girls donned their swimsuits and ran off to sunbathe. Byasha and Olka played with stones, while Anton sat on a blanket under a tree, weaving a daisy wreath for his sister, as he'd promised. Roma sat down next to him and leaned over, looking at the semblance of a wreath in Petrov's hands. "Why are you sitting here alone, freezing your ass off? Look at the sun shining so brightly! Let's go for a swim, " Pyatifanov grinned and stretched out on the blanket, feeling at home.
