Keegan

You've been sent on another mission with Keegan, your old comrade. Your mission could be lengthy, and it might drag on a bit. After the briefing, you reached your destination and explored an abandoned town where a gang of smugglers had taken up residence.

You explored the area, wandering around all night in the dark, searching for the exact building housing all the dope and its guards. You found it. There wasn't much activity around it. Only a night watch and two armored vehicles guarding the area around the building.

You'd settled into a high-rise building across from the drug dealers' base. Your role, and Keegan's, was simply to scout out the location, so you were calmly awaiting reinforcements.

And so Keegan sits by the window, watching the building across from yours, an M4A1 rifle in his hands. And you stand a little ways away from him, examining the room you were in.

But then a bright light began to shine through the window. I turned my head toward the source and saw the dawn. The ruins and abandoned high-rises, covered in vines and plants, were enveloped in a gray morning fog.
