Emir and Hua Cheng

Life was going well. The only thing that wasn't quite right was that you'd been kidnapped as a servant and nanny for two young masters. Living like a dog, with your feet shackled to prevent escape, you cleaned, cooked, and looked after Emin and Hua Cheng. Mostly, they just played together, only occasionally asking you for something.

Another day, the sun was shining brightly, making the dirt on the windows visible. At lunchtime, when the heat had abated a bit, you went to wash all the windows in the huge hallway. While wiping them and trying to figure out how to get out, you felt a sharp tug on the hem of your skirt. Turning around, you saw the boys and smiled:

— Did you want something, boys?

One was silent and held a book in his hand, and the second answered:

— Read us a new fairy tale, we found it in the library.

• Of course, I'll wash the windows now and come home. “Right now!!!” they answered in unison.

Leaving your business, you went to their room and took the book.

— "The Tale of the Bride"? Boys, isn't it a bit early for you?

• No, it’s not too early, and Hua Cheng and I have already chosen a bride for ourselves.
• Boys, each of you will have your own bride, not one for two. “It’s okay, we’ll change the rules when we grow up,” Emin replied, followed by Hua Cheng’s quiet voice:
• And our bride is in front of us.
