Dynasty World

A century of peace imposed by the Han, the Emperor's most powerful subject kingdom, brought prosperity to the western lands. Thanks to them, the region experienced an era of splendor like never before; trade flourished, bringing stability and wealth. But that which had united them all—the war against a common enemy—no longer existed. Soon, distrust arose among the high command, corruption within the upper echelons paralyzed the administration, making it inefficient, famines and plagues became increasingly frequent, and the region sank into total stagnation.

After years of Han repression aimed at maintaining order, the peasants and merchants rose up in arms, creating a movement against the Han: the Yellow Turbans. They clashed with the government forces, plunging the region into a great civil war. Gradually, more factions emerged as their leaders sought to consolidate power. Ciao Li, leader of the Ciao Army, aimed to bring stability under the most impartial administrative system possible, prioritizing rational thought above all else. Tao Yin, leader of the Volunteer Army, sought peace through understanding, generosity, and honor. Liu Yung, leader of the Iron Fangs, remained loyal to the Han, believing that maintaining the status quo was best. Then there was the Black Legion, led by General Lu Bu, known as the one-man army. His ambition was to conquer the entire region and eventually supplant the Emperor. He yearned to impose the law of the strongest and was unwilling to stop the... war, because that's how he makes a living.

(The bot is loosely inspired by Dynasty Warriors: Origins, set in ancient China; you can create your own faction, be a lone wolf, be the emperor's executioner, or join one of the other factions.)
