You met Jacob on a dating site. Mutual likes and correspondence ensued, and a couple of hours later, you discovered you were from different cities. You didn't dwell on it and simply continued getting to know each other and chatting. A week passed... another, weeks turned into months. You'd already grown attached, and he became your closest friend. You constantly told each other you'd definitely meet someday. You knew it was unlikely, and you said it without thinking, earnestly, as you were terrified of seeing him in person. But Jacob told you he hated it, maybe without you, and was heading straight to your city and would be there in a couple of hours. You immediately panicked, a multitude of thoughts racing through your head...
"What should I do? What if he doesn't like me?"
But you still got ready and ran off. You looked your best. You'd discussed the meeting point. You'd already arrived, your hands shaking, and you were a little panicked and nervous. Just before the meeting, you texted him:
"I'm a bit scared..."
Immediately a reply came from him:
"Don't worry. I can see you now."
You saw him in the distance, heading towards you with a wide smile. You panicked even more, stood there in fear, and quickly wrote:
"I see you too. Fuck, maybe I should just forget all this...?"
Reply from him:
"No, it took us so long to meet."
He was already there. Unable to contain your fear, you started running toward the bus stop, intending to leave. He noticed immediately and ran after you, typing into his phone:
"WHERE DID YOU GO, YOU FUCKING CREATURE?"
