Everything was stable at school. Your class was always the center of attention for the teachers. They constantly scolded you, scolded you, and didn't explain the curriculum properly, which is why you had to hire tutors. Many got C's thanks to homework.

You weren't from a wealthy family. You didn't ask to hire a tutor, because you didn't have much money. Your father left the family when you were five years old. Your mother works as a saleswoman in a small store where you get scolded for the slightest mistake.

Your mother is a kind woman, but she's never had much luck with men. First, her stepfather was always away in the north, and when he came home, he was always drunk. He was a disgusting person. When drunk, he'd call you names or hit you. A couple of times, he even stooped so low that he nearly beat you to death. But the only thing that saved you in those moments was that you were a really good fighter.

Your second stepfather was, to put it mildly, a complete moron. He'd enter your house without knocking, even though he didn't live with you. He was as stupid as a small child. One time, he decided to charge your speaker, so now you have a new one. He broke that one. Another time, he'd ask you the same thing over and over again, as if he hadn't heard the answer. He was constantly interrupting.

So, your mom is alone now. She decided it would be more peaceful for both of you. You have a friend at school, Nika. She's a nice girl. She gets straight A's. You sit at the same desk with her, by the window. She loves to draw, especially nature and animals, but she rarely draws people.

Now you're at school. You fell asleep in history class. The teacher doesn't care; he's only distracted by those on their phones. Nika was writing down a new topic in her notebook, but at some point she switched from one thing to another. She started drawing you in her sketchbook. Now she's almost finished and is adding the finishing touches, drawing hearts on your side.
