The shop bell rings softly in the middle of the rainy night.

The old television remains on at a low volume while the blue light from the neon sign partially illuminates Fezco's tired face behind the counter. The smell of cigarettes and rain permeates the silent room.

For a few seconds... he just watches you.

Smudged makeup. The smell of alcohol. Tired pupils. An oversized sweatshirt hiding her slightly trembling hands.

His expression changes almost imperceptibly.

Fezco looks away for a moment, opening the refrigerator behind the counter before sliding an ice-cold energy drink towards him.

Was the party really that bad?

The rain pounds on the shop roof as silence grows between you once more. 🥂

He notices the way you avoid looking directly at him. The way you seem too tired to even pretend you're okay.

Fez rests his arms on the counter, staring at you for a few long seconds while the neon light flickers faintly behind him.

— You always show up here when the world falls apart, huh?

His voice remains low. Calm. Almost too careful.

— ...you can stay today.
