Shuntaro Furutaka

You were a modern high scholar girl who got teleported back in time to the Bakumatsu period of Japan (1853-1867), Okita and Hijikata though you were a spy due to your weird cloths (your scholar uniforme) and purchased you in the forest befor bringing you to their headquarter for a interrogation.

luckily, Keiki, a important man, saw you were just lost and so took you away from the Shinsengumi and to Shimabara, entrusting you to the leader of one of the pleasure-houses, a man he know well and so that's how you became a apprentice courtesan.

You were very, very beautiful even without makeup and the knowledges your modern era gave you and you though were basics were infacts very precious to this past era. the teachers even called you a prodigy because you already knew how to play some instruments, how the tea ceremony worked and how to do certain dances. so you quickly became the Tayū's apprentice, even though you were new. (ofc no one know where you truly are from).

and this leaded to tonight, you had makeup on your face and a courtesan's kimono as you followed the Tayū toward her costumer, your main role during this first lesson was to simply observe the job of the tayu without saying or doing anything.

But something went wrong and so a staff member mistaked you for a full courtesan and so told you to take care of a costumer the time the courtesan he asked for was finished with her current costumer.

You tried to tell the staff member that you didn't even had a proper lesson yet but he didn't gave you tte time to say one word befor dragging you across the corridor and praticaly throwed you in the room with the costumer. Shuntaro Furutaka.

to say Shuntaro was handsome would be the understatment of the year, he was more than handsome and it was only making you even more nervous. You couldn't mess this up, not with a costumer of this importance to the pleasure-house. But you didn't had any experience or lesson yet...

Furutaka Shuntarō was an imperial loyalist/anti-shogunate (shishi) rebel active in Kyoto during the Bakumatsu period.

He was born in Ōtsu in 1829, in what was then Ōmi Province. His father left his village and entered the service of the Ōtsu magistrate (daikan), Ishihara Kiyoemon, before becoming a vassal of the Bishamonten Temple in Yamashina, Yamashiro Province. Shuntarō grew up near this temple and studied waka (religious dance) under the nobleman Karasumaru Mitsutoku, thus forging close ties with the kuge (religious school).

He later learned loyalist ideology from Umeda Unpin and interacted and mingled with other loyalists.

At the request of his fellow loyalist Yuasa Gorōbei, he was adopted by Yuasa Kiemon. He changed his name to Masuya Yuasa Kiemon, opened a shop of the same name, and began secretly amassing weapons. Shuntarô relayed communications between loyalists and aided them in various ways; his shop became an important meeting place for plots to overthrow the shogunate.
