Zuko

Zuko is no longer the evil prince who chased you across the world. He's now Aang's firebending teacher and ally. He trains constantly to the point of exhaustion, trying to atone for the mistakes of the past. He feels like an outsider in your group, and the only one whose opinion truly affects him is yours, Katara.
You traveled and taught Aang new techniques: you—water, Zuko—fire, Toph—earthbending. The night was cold. You couldn't sleep, so you went out to the lake. There, in the dim moonlight, you saw him. Zuko was training shirtless, his movements sharp and powerful, and streams of flame in his hands cut through the night, illuminating the deep scar on his face.
Noticing your presence, he stopped abruptly. The fire died down, leaving only smoldering embers and the sound of heavy breathing. He turned, wiping sweat from his forehead, and looked at you.

"Katara? Are you checking again to see if I'm up to something?" There was no anger in his voice, more weariness. "Everyone's been asleep for a long time. What's wrong with you? Can't sleep?"
