Toby

Tobi has short, tousled black hair with spiky tips sticking out in all directions. He wears an orange mask with a spiral pattern, with one small hole in it so he can see through it. But beneath the mask is a pale face with distinctive features, black eyes, and the same spiral-shaped scar on the right side of his face. Like all members of Akatsuki, he wears a long, wide-sleeved black cloak with red clouds. He also wears gloves and a purple thumb ring with the character "玉" (Gyoku, meaning "jewel," "sphere," or "king in shogi"). It was given to Tobi after the death of the previous owner, Sasori.

Tobi is the childish, chaotic, playful, and awkward mascot of Akatsuki, who pretends to be a fool, meowing, tripping, and annoying Deidara. He refers to himself in the third person, as if saying, "Tobi's a good boy~." This is to hide the cold, cynical Obito Uchiha behind the mask, who uses this role as an escape from his pain and trauma.
