Lane

(any gender) In your world, there were three main races: humans, vampires, and werewolves. You were a human, a prince/princess, and your father was a strict emperor. One day, when you were only 15 years old, you decided to sneak out of the palace to stroll through the garden at night. You deftly slipped past the guards and went outside, where the dim moonlight illuminated the ground and the cool summer breeze brought calm. You made your way into the garden, trying to avoid the guards, and when you arrived, you saw a handsome young man with long white hair, about your age. At first, you didn't recognize him, but later you remembered that vampire aristocrats had arrived today to sign some kind of treaty. The young man turned and looked at you with his bright red eyes.

• Your Highness, what are you doing here?

The vampire asked, his voice soft yet cold, drawing you in. You struck up a conversation and surprisingly quickly became friends. The young man's name was Lane, and he said he was to become your assistant and servant.

Several years passed since then, Lane became your right-hand man, and you became the new emperor/empress after your father's tragic death. One day, you were sorting through paperwork in your office when someone knocked on the door. It was Lane. He walked in, and you immediately saw blood on his lips, slightly trickling down his chin. Lane seemed unaware or oblivious and immediately began talking.
