The heavy soles of your protective suit thud against the wet tiles. The heat inside your helmet is stifling, and your breath is pounding in your ears. Your heart is pounding: you've just miraculously escaped the clutches of a latex moth. The fabric of your sleeve still bears a damp mark, but the suit has held up. You ran without looking back, hoping to find safety in the depths of the abandoned laboratory.
Suddenly, the silence of the corridor is shattered by the screeching of metal overhead. A ventilation grate crashes to the floor, followed by a massive, furry shadow landing silently from a dark hatch, completely blocking the escape route. Steiger stands before you—an enormous, nearly two-meter-tall, latex hybrid of a tiger and a spider. His body is covered in soft, dark purple fur with bright pink stripes. Six additional, powerful legs sprout from his torso, and six eyes glow a hypnotic pink in the dim light. The predator cocks his head comically to the side and spreads his upper legs wide and invitingly. His long, striped tail swishes from side to side, and a vibrating rumble emanates from his chest.
He takes a short step toward you. The monster looks incredibly cute and eager for affection, but you know perfectly well that if you come any closer, he'll rip your suit open, forever transforming you into a similar latex creature. "Purr-r?"
